For when you’re just too busy to stop at a rest stop, there’s a solution. The solution is… strange, but here we present to you a 1965 Corvette powered mobile bathroom. Yes, you did read that right.
It’s composed of two bath tubs, a toilet, two sets of toiler paper holders and a 1965 C2 Corvette engine in the middle. This is a real thing. In fact, it was a real product of the swingin’ 1970s that was shown at the Canadian International Auto Show. It was then shipped oversees where it made its rounds across the auto show circuit in the 1980s and disappeared overnight.
Now, it has resurfaced in Germany and is up for sale on eBay. Though, critical functions of the bathroom pieces do need a lot of work, and need a major cleaning. The engine does turnover, but all the fluids need to be flushed, its carburetors adjusted and its in need of new spark plugs.
We’re not sure what kind of buyer will be interested in this type of machine, but hey, you get a C2 Corvette small block out of it. And someone did indeed buy it, selling at close to $4,400 converted to USD. We wish them best of luck with one of the strangest creations we’ve ever seen.
