Having driven the C7 Corvette Stingray in a previous episode, an upcoming installment of BBC’s Top Gear will feature a Chevrolet Silverado HD.
The Heavy Duty beast will be used to rescue a marooned Richard Hammond and then put through the paces to see how it performs in a frozen tundra full of snow and steep hills. We can only hope that James May opted for the 6.6-liter Duramax turbo-diesel engine, which makes a capable 397 horses and astounding 765 pound-feet of torque at merely 1,600 RPM, more than enough to tackle the snow-covered landscape.
As if that wasn’t interesting enough, Jeremy Clarkson decided to bring a Ford F-150 Raptor to the party. But not just any “regular” Raptor, mind you, but rather the supercharged, 608-horsepower Hennessey VelociRaptor.
Needless to say, we’ll be tuning in to watch the Bowtie-wearing behemoth, so let this serve as a reminder to catch it live, or set your DVRs to see what every gearhead’s favorite trio of Brits have to say about some decidedly-American products.

Looks like there were in Alberta. I’ve heard they had an incident with a $7-ish million mining truck
Thought it was British Colombia? Too bad James is in the Chevy, surprised he didn’t opt for the Eco diesel with the turbo removed…
