Chevrolet Performance Explains Why Its Genuine Parts Are Worth The Money: Video

Adding aftermarket parts to your beloved machine is almost inevitable these days. Chevrolet Performance is among those companies, but today, they’ve presented us with a video showcasing why there’s no alternative.

Chevrolet Performance created two Camaro concepts to showcase what their parts can do to enhance your current Chevrolet Camaro, whether it be on the track or on the street. The Ultimate Street Camaro SS concept uses a few major components from the 1LE, including the 1LE suspension package and tires. Pieces from the Camaro ZL1 trickle down too, and they are comprised of wheel hubs, and front and rear brakes.

The Street concept also sees a Chevrolet Performance short-throw shifter and performance exhaust for a little extra attention. The best part about these upgrades? They’re all street-legal and won’t void any factory warranties.

“The fit and finish of these parts are direct bolt-ins, you use the same process as you would to actually bolt in the service parts,” says Mark Dickens, Director of Performance Parts, Variants and Motorsports Engineering.

For those seeking a more hardcore track focused experience, Chevrolet Performance has also showcased what it can do with the Ultimate Track Camaro SS concept. The biggest takeaway from the Track Camaro SS is how it utilizes many of the Z28’s go-fast bits, and Chevrolet Performance wants to reiterate that the parts are available for any fifth-generation Camaro.
