CDN-GM Interactive Design Competition Awards Design Students With Invaluable Internships

Near the close of the 2015 North American International Auto Show, upcoming students of design submitted their envisions and designs to be awarded by both expert mentors from Car Design News and General Motors.

The competition concluded its fourth year running with participation from 165 schools over North America and 995 artworks submitted. The most revealing fact, though, is over 1,900 comments were made on design pieces, highlighting the importance of expert critique and feedback for the young designers.

The designers were not only judged on their finished designs, but how they handled feedback as well.

Winning entrants include a visualized Buick interior, a reimagined future Cadillac and piece titled the GMC Transporter. The winners receive a once in a lifetime opportunity to intern at GM’s Tech Center in Warren, Michigan. The internship lasts three months and will provide invaluable skills for the aspiring designers.
