1,400-HP C6 Corvette Battles 1,400-HP Toyota Supra: Video

Everyone loves to watch domestics and imports go head-to-head, and this battle between two aftermarket favorites with 1,400 HP battle is no exception. You won’t be disappointed in this roll-race between a procharged C6 Corvette and an MK3 Toyota Supra with an enormous turbocharger (in traditional JDM tuner fashion). Both nitrous fed machines are undeniably impressive, but we won’t lie, we’re rooting a little more for the Corvette.

The Corvette’s 408 iron block with an 11 to 1 compression ratio has a modification list mentioned in the video that’ll blow you away, literally.  It’s strong enough to handle 25 pounds of boost from the F1X procharger spinning at about 7,800 RPM, which produces 1,350 HP according to the driver. The Supra dupra, on the other hand, is said to have a little over 1,400 hp.  It features a 3.0 swap hefty enough to run 45 pounds of boost from a 78mm turbo.

Was it the outcome what you expected?  Let us know what you thought about the video in the comments below.

  1. A nitrous, supercharged, moderate displacement LS vs what appeared to be a “built 3.0” – sure looked like a 2JZ swap to me; with a nitrous hit?!

Yeah that Vette didn’t stand a chance. Worst part is the A70 (MKIII) Supras are heavy…nearly 4000lbs.

Should have brought a Turbo LS to hang with that Supra in a roll race. I never understand why Surcharged/Nitrous guys think they have a chance in hell against a Turbo car in roll/ high speed acceleration runs.

The power delivery of a Turbo car almost always favors strong acceleration on the top end.
