2016 Cadillac CT6 Spied Testing In The Rockies

We’re a little over a month away from when Cadillac will officially debut its latest pride and joy, the 2016 CT6. Though, that doesn’t mean Cadillac will waste anytime perfecting the placeholder flagship.

Motor Trend recently spotted the car testing in the Rockies wearing a full garment of eye-distorting camouflage. Whoever Cadillac is paying to cover this thing up deserves a raise.

Major styling cues are still basically unidentifiable with the bulky black camo and distorting swirl wrap. The profile is consistent with what we’ve seen previously, and the CT6 is holding true to its comfy-sedan sizing.

In the rear, only a single outlet with quad tips exits the bumper, which mimics the last time we saw the 2016 CT6. This is unlike earlier rounds of spy shots which showed the car with dual quad exhaust tips. The CT6 is expected to debut with a turbocharged V6, but also expect a plug-in option as well.

Keep in mind, though, that the rear-wheel drive Omega platform can support a host of engines, including four, six and eight cylinder variants.

Look for the CT6 to make its debut officially at the 2015 New York Auto Show, where it will be the sole star for Cadillac while the upcoming XT5 crossover sits the Big Apple out. Until then, however there’s this teaser commercial from the Oscars.

  1. I really hope cadillac offers a V8 along with a 6 and a plug from the get go, this car needs to make a statement right away not over a few years. All the R&D this car should and will make a impact on the brands perception.
