2015 Colorado GearOn Edition Brings Unique Body Colored Front Fascia: Feature Spotlight

Chevrolet brought the versatile Colorado GearOn edition to the 2015 Chicago Auto Show, featuring an onslaught of cargo-bed customizations for just about anything being hauled.

Besides the intuitive cargo management, the Colorado GearOn also arrives with a unique look, setting it apart from other Colorados scampering about on local roads. The GearOn edition showed up with an exclusive body colored grille, matching the Red Hot exterior paint color the truck wears on the show floor.

Kudos to Chevrolet for adding this look to the already well-styled Colorado, but we do wish any Colorado could be optioned with this, rather than a standard issue silver trimmed grille. The body color grille also wears a black bowtie badge, signifying the GearOn edition, and meshing well once again with the overall tweaked exterior design.

Glossy black wheels adorn the pickup and match the black bowties in the front and rear, tying in the overall design quite well. The GearOn package will be offered on LT models in extended or crew cab configurations, with the long or short cargo bed and available 4WD.

The unique look will probably sell itself, but the GearOn’s absolute versatility will certainly seal the deal.

  2. I like this grill and the GMC. I am just not a Chrome grill guy and I don’t want to be forced to buy 4 Wheel Drive to get a non chrome grill.

The thing I like about GMC is they are at least getting more and more different with each model as to set them apart. It is good people either like one or the other as this is what they should do appeal to two different groups.

At least they are not trying to make these look like small Kenworth’s like the larger trucks as some companies.
