Vauxhall has launched its new ad campaign for the 2015 Corsa hatchback, the ‘A to Z of Corsa’ which the automaker says is an “affectionate nod and rebellious take on the Brits love affair with the Vauxhall Corsa.”
The new ads accelerate viewers “through a whirlwind of alphabetic themed scenes. Illustrating everyday British life and driving scenarios from boxers, cricket and dogs, to quiffs, roundabouts, snogging and tea.” It was filmed in different locations across the UK, including in Liverpool, Manchester, the Peak District, Essex and of course, London, with advertisers attempting to capture the “true grit and glamour of the UK.”
The ‘A to Z of Corsa’ campaign will be rolled out across all mediums including TV, poster, print, CRM (customer relationship marketing), social media and PR. The TV campaign first aired last week, with a 40-second spot designed to raise interest, awareness, and consideration for the recently released 2015 Corsa. The ad will also air in cinemas across the UK starting January 30, 2015.
“The ‘A to Z of Corsa’ heralds a distinct new look for Vauxhall and offers us the chance to create something that celebrates the energy and fun of Corsa in a nostalgic and distinctly British way,” said Chris Hawken, Vauxhall director of brand marketing. “It supports our positioning of, ‘premium design and engineering affordable to all’, and acknowledges the freedom driving brings to all walks of life across the UK.”
