A huge blizzard threatened to shut down New York City this week, but luckily for residents of the Big Apple, the absolute worst of the storm narrowly missed them, opting to fall on Boston its surrounding area instead. New York still got a hefty dusting of snow, however, and TIME Magazine’s Bill Saporito conveniently had a 2015 Colorado Z71 4×4 on loan from Chevrolet to weather the storm in.
Saporito saw “Snowmageddon” as the perfect opportunity to test the off-road and winter driving capabilities of the Colorado Z71. He drove it up a steep, snow-covered grade with the Colorado’s four-wheel-drive system set to ‘4 low’ and described it as a “piece of cake.” He also drove it down the hill, and had similarly successful results.
If we were stuck in upstate New York, we’d be happy to have a Z71 Colorado as our companion. How did TIME magazine like their winter experience with Chevy’s new midsizer? Watch the video below to find out.

Also: Wrong VVT explanation. Seems like he is trying to describe cylinder deactivation which this truck doesn’t have. I bet this guy is pretty high up in corporate GM. If not, he needs to be. Mary Barra wouldn’t have known how to pop the hood.
