Supercharged C7 Faces Off Against First-Gen Camaro In Quarter-Mile Drag Race: Video

There’s tonnes of evidence on the internet proving adding a little boost to the 460 horsepower LT1 V8 in the C7 Corvette Stingray can have some dramatic results. Take this supercharged C7 Corvette Stingray, for example, which managed to take down a drag-prepped first-generation Camaro in a recent pass at the drag strip.

The C7 has a bolt-on centrifugal supercharger which has boosted horsepower to unknown levels. No matter how much extra power it’s sending to the wheels, it’s enough for this C7 to cover a quarter-mile in just 11 seconds at 133 mph. The car also appears to be lacking drag radials, making this feat even more impressive.
