Small Block Powered Rat Rod Tank Is The Best Thing We’ve Seen All Week: Video

You have two tank tracks, the cab from a 1947 Mercury 2 ton truck and a Chevrolet Small Block V8 laying around your farm in rural Ontario, Canada, what do you do? Why you build an insane V8-powered rat-rod tank, of course.

The builder of this wild (and somewhat terrifying) machine, known as ShawnCFarm on YouTube, has quite the imagination. We give him immense credit for dreaming up a creation like this, and even more for making it actually happen.

Shawn says Tankenstein, as he refers to it, is built around a 1944 Universal Carrier, which was formerly used by commonwealth countries to transport troops and weaponry . They were actually manufactured in Canada for a brief period, which explains how he was able to get ahold of one.

This looks like something an axe-wilding serial killer might drive, but we all know Canadians are much too nice for that sort of thing. Shawn just wants to have something fun to drive around his farm, and Tankenstein appears to do a decent job of towing some of the vehicles he has laying around his property.

See Tankenstein in action in the video below, and if you want to see more footage of this absurd creation, check out the other videos on his channel.

Sam loves to write and has a passion for auto racing, karting and performance driving of all types.
