The Chevrolet Cruze’s minor facelift has made its way to Australia in the form of a refreshed Holden Cruze sedan, and the forbidden hatchback the U.S. never received.
The refreshed Holden Cruze benefits from the new LED running lights up front with a reworked front clip, following in the footsteps again of its American Chevrolet cousin. The Holden Cruze Equipe adds new 17-inch alloy wheels and the exterior mirror now include built in turn signal indicators.
“The new front fascia and grille give the car an athletic, modern look and the added features make Cruze a compelling package in the small car class.,” Holden Director of Marketing Bill Mott said.
The performance oriented Holden Cruze SRi receives the same upgrades in addition to the LED daytime running lights and fog lamps. The even sportier SRi-V now comes equipped with new 18-inch wheels, rain sensing wipers, remote start and suede seat inserts. The remote start allows the car to begin cooling or heating the interior cabin before the driver gets in.
Satellite navigation with voice command and live traffic updates has also been introduced for the more luxury focused Cruze CDX.
“With remote start, satellite navigation, reverse cameras and the award winning, MyLink infotainment system, Holden is able to offer technology not previously available in small cars. It is all part of our commitment to provide feature packed vehicles and exceptional customer value,” Mott also said.
Stay tuned for pricing.

I liked how the Holden one had its own design for Sri and SRi-V but now its exactly the same as Chevy NA. Meanwhile China has the completely new model…. Logic GM.
The wheels at GM turn slowly sometimes. Hopefully the next gen. will get these variants along with the above mentioned hatch that seems to elude us even in prototype form at the current time.
Yes a look at some comment posts on Australian articles about this refresh and it hasn’t been received very well. I wonder what the logic is here. Clearly that grill is designed for a bow tie badge and just slapping the lion and stone on it looks like a bit of an afterthought.
Well being an Aussie guy this refresh has not gone well for Holden over here. The Cruze is now long in the tooth since it was first introduced (2008?). Holden engineers breathed life into the former Korean built models, but the styling is now dated compared to the opposition. I do not see this change/update improving sales – a number of the motoring journalists do not like the Cruze.
Cruze sales have slipped big time lately and should be replaced ASAP by another GM product i.e. Astra (formerly a well respected and desired model in Oz).
Thanks. The truth hurts those who continually pat themselves over the back here in the states and constantly tries to cheerlead this type of crap.
