Holden has rolled out a new slogan, called “Let’s Go There.” The ad aims to brighten the mood in the wake of Holden losing its domestic manufacturing (but hey, the Commodore name is sticking around). The marketing campaign is one step in ensuring Holden continues a long and successful future in Australia.
Holden says the campaign was created after extensive research, and encompasses more than one message and advertisement for the Lion brand. Holden’s Executive Director of Marketing, Bill Mott said the new brand campaign will progress Holden’s identity in Australia.
“The new campaign has been developed from five core truths: Holden’s future is bright, there will be a next-generation Commodore, Holden understands Australian conditions and customers better than any other brand, Holden has a wave of exciting new models on the horizon and our dealers across the country are focussed on world-class customer service now and in the future.”
The two initial advertisements highlight the Lang Lang proving ground, where Holden extensively tests its vehicles for the Aussie market, and the upcoming 2018 Holden Commodore. The campaign features children who, Mott says, are “inherently optimistic and represent the future and these are values that reflect the Holden brand.”

And let the bigger nose-dive begin. Such a failure with an awful ad to go with it!
Holden need a fresh new lineup of vehicles to attract buyers, bring in a mix of European and North American vehicles to cater for what businesses, government and private buyers want is critical. I don’t think people care where cars come from as long as they are attractive, well made and priced competitively.
What a shit ad, seriously is this a joke??
The Australian community is still not happy over the last tv advert debacle. Truly this advert needs the chop before it goes to air. ‘Let’s Go There’ will be lambasted unmercifully and is ripe for mocking.
If Holden were half smart they should ride out the plant closures respectfully, introduce appropriate new models to meet market needs now, drop the Commodore nameplate and stop trying to be something they are no longer – not an Australian manufacturer but a global American corporation!
Football, meat pies, kangaroos and Holden cars is over!!
makes sense to me …
Someone at GM should read into the new coke fiasco. Trying to make people exited over something they don’t want is not a good idea GM. Seriously though people in your advertising departments need firing if this is the best you can do.
I bought a Jeep. I am also buying the next alfa. The alfa will be a little torquey, rear wheel drive, small, powerful, torana type car and the grand cherokee l own is the first non holden l have owned in 39 years of car ownership.
Actually still pretty shattered but not buying another Holden.
