John Hennessey, owner of Hennssey Performance Engineering, has five kids and four dogs. As you can imagine, he needs lots of space to haul them all around in, which is why he loves the GMC Yukon Denali and its brothers, the Cadillac Escalade and Chevrolet Suburban. But Hennssey also loves the full-size SUVs for another reason.
The 6.2-liter EcoTec3 V8 in the Yukon loves to be boosted to up to 650 horsepower, and that probably makes Hennessey very happy indeed. He decided to show us once again what his supercharged tuning package for the full-size SUV could do, but this time, he used the larger Yukon XL to demonstrate.
To further display the performance prowess of the 6,000+ lb SUV, he lined it up next to a 707 horsepower Dodge Challenger Hellcat for a quarter-mile pass. The Hellcat has more power, but the Yukon has the advantage of four-wheel drive. Place your bets on who won, and find out in the video below.
