Chevrolet has re-launched the unique Engine Build Experience, first made available to buyers of the C6 Corvette Z06 and ZR1, for buyers of the 2015 Corvette Z06. The program is the only one of its kind for supercar customers, allowing them to assemble their engine with the help and supervision of a Performance Build Center engine assembly technician.
The Engine Build Experience is selected during the ordering process under order code “PBC”. For a $5,000 premium, the buyer will travel to the Bowling Green Assembly plant and build their supercharged, 650 horsepower 6.2-liter LT4 engine alongside an engine assembly technician. The experience also includes a personalized engine plaque identifying the owner/builder and the date of the engine build, and professional photography of the experience.
“Chevrolet recognizes the passion customers have for Corvette and the Engine Build Experience offers them a truly unique opportunity for hands-on involvement in the creation of the heart of their new car,” Harlan Charles, Corvette product manager, said in a statement. “It’s a chance to bond with their new car.”
After the customer completes his or her engine, it will be moved to the assembly line where it will be installed in their Corvette. The National Corvette museum delivery option can also be selected in conjunction with the Engine Build Experience, allowing the customer to receive their car just next door at the famous NCM.

Minus the metal shavings in the oil that’s been plaguing the corvette lately I hope.
It was an oil filter problem dick head.
For that price I want the Corvette Build Experience as well!
