A whiles back, the story of a brand new 2015 Corvette Z06 which blew its motor after only 891 miles surfaced. ‘Vette haters laughed and mocked at the new supercar as it tripped and fell. The owner didn’t give up on his car, though. In fact, he had the engine replaced.
The owner worked closely with GM and his local dealer, and a brand new supercharged small-block now sits under the hood. And thanks to the 2015 Corvette Z06’s Performance Data Recorder, we’re able to show you just how triumphant of a return the car makes. How did the Z06 make out? It owns a Viper on the course, which you can see in the video down below.
It’s a good ending to a rocky start with this particular 2015 Corvette Z06, and major props to GM for getting it sorted so quickly. In fact, it happened so fast that the owner was able to break the motor in properly before even heading to his track day.
