If you were a super hero, what would be your ride of choice? Would you pick up a Lamborghini Aventador like Batman did in The Dark Knight? Or would it be something more understated, like Cadillac’s new made-up superhero ‘Red Thunder’, who drives a 2015 Cadillac ATS.
Never heard of Red Thunder? We don’t blame you. She’s a fictional super hero Cadillac came up with to star in their new short film of the same name. We wouldn’t say she’s quite on the same level as Bruce Wayne, but we still wouldn’t want to mess with her.
This is the first time we’ve seen Red Thunder, and it may be the last. Cadillac is poised to launch an entirely new marketing campaign and indentity at the Oscars next month, which will “disrupt” consumers’ perceptions of the brand. That could mean doing away with its previous ads and taglines entirely, like Red Thunder, for example.
If you have about 5-minutes to spare, check out Cadillac’s latest ad/short film for the ATS in the video below, and let us know what you think in the comments. Red Thunder action figures probably won’t be hitting stores any time soon, but we apprecaite this lengthy ad for daring to be different and fun in the often stuck-up luxury automotive world.

Original and curious.

This is a beautiful car!
I remember when Cadillac use to use diamonds in their magazine adds. Today, I still think of fabulous gems when I see a Cadillac! I have a 2010 CTS and it still looks pretty. I get compliments about it all the time. I love it!
