Vengeance Racing took delivery of their 2015 Corvette Z06 last week and immediately got to work on the car, pulling a huge burnout before they even left the dealership and strapping it to their dyno the second they got it in their shop. The tuning company is also now the first to modify a production Z06, bumping output by 75 horsepower and 60 lb-ft of torque.
According to Vengeance, these gains were achieved through simply swapping out the upper pulley on the supercharger and backing it up with a cold air intake and a VR performance chip. The result is 660 horsepower and 663 lb-ft of torque at the rear wheels, compared to the 585 horsepower and 617 lb-ft the company recorded from stock.
So if for some reason the 650 horsepower Z06 was a little too slow for you, you can send it over to Vengeance to have a little extra bit if muscle injected into it. If that’s still not enough, we’re confident Vengeance or some other well-respected GM tuner will have performance packages cresting the 1,000 horsepower mark before this time next year.
