The curators of the National Corvette Museum in Bowling Green, KY may find some un-vette Chevy sportscars traipsing through their yard next year, as the city will host the annual Camaro Fest gathering.
The car show will take place at Beech Bend Raceway, according to the Bowling Green Daily News, and it’s been forecast that it will draw in 1,000 or more Camaros from every generation of the pony car’s long history. The 2015 Camaro Fest is especially to celebrate the coming sixth-generation Camaro (rendered above), but it’s open to every model year.
This is the sixth installation of Camaro Fest, which had previously been held in various cities all across the US. The date is set for August 7th and 8th, with drag racing, autocross, a car show, and more on the schedule. General Motors is also planning to have a presence at the event, with executives in attendance alongside noteworthy “Camaro personalities.”
The very next weekend, the city of Bowling Green will have to hit the big yellow Reset button, as the “Tri-5 Chevy Show” comes to town, featuring Chevrolet vehicles from 1955, ’56 and ’57.
