A vintage Cadillac limo or hearse can be considered rare, but if you want something truly unique, you should try and find yourself a Cadillac ‘Flower Car’ Hearse. These coach built specials were used during funeral processions to carry either flowers or caskets and can be extremely hard to come by, however a running, driving example recently popped up for sale on eBay.
It doesn’t get much quirkier than a Cadillac which has been styled to look like some sort of El Camino/hearse mashup. Most funeral processions only had a hearse, but wealthy persons or a people of status may have had a flower car as well. Sometimes the pickup bed would house a casket, which would be covered in flowers, giving the car its unofficial name.
Flower cars were based on the Cadillac Fleetwood with the 429 cubic inch V8. This example “runs and drives good,” according to the listing, and comes with an extra hood, as parts for these could be a headache to acquire. This could look pretty neat after a full restoration, but as it sits, it’s looking pretty rough.
