Renovations to Opel’s Adam Opel Haus corporate headquarters in Russelsheim are now complete, giving the building’s foyer a contemporary new look. Opel CEO Dr. Karl-Thomas Neumann, CFO Michael Lohscheller and Chief Marketing Officer Tina Müller cut the red tape on the new building earlier this week during a grand opening ceremony.
Opel says its headquarters underwent “careful modernization measures,” over the last three months, now making it the “central and representative meeting point for employees, business partners and guests.” The foyer now features a large glass front entrance, while the grounds themselves have been updated as well, giving the HQ a more “inviting” atmosphere.
Also new to the foyer is a bistro and Opel Shop. The Opel Shop sells brand-centered items for employees and visitors, while the bistro offers a range of new culinary options and provides access to high speed Wi-Fi.

And the Opel plant in Bochum closed, also this week. Reportedly the first German car factory to be shuttered since WWII.
How pleased those laid-off workers must be to see that Corporate Headquarters is doing so well.
Your timing stinks, GM.
