General Motors today issued yet another recall, this one affecting 316,357 cars and SUVs with headlights which may stop functioning. The issue can occur either intermittently, or permanently, depending upon the case.
According to KWTX Channel 10 News in Texas, vehicles affected by the recall span from the 2006 model year, through 2009. The models are: the Buick LaCrosse, Chevrolet Trailblazer, GMC Envoy, Buick Rainier, Saab 0-7X, and Isuzu Ascender. Owners of any of these GM vehicles qualify to receive free replacement of the light modules.
Interestingly, the recall does not affect fog lamps, high-beams, or turn indicators. So, you can still illuminate small road-crossing vermin, flash oncoming traffic desperately for help, or use your hazards to signal to the peeved stack of motorists behind you.
Also according to KWTX, this is General Motors’ 79th recall in North America this year, and the automaker has recalled a staggering 30.4 million vehicles here in 2014.

When is GM going to start replacing the faulty Ignition Switches in vehicles? I got into an accident with my 2004 Pontiac Grand Am on December 31, 2014 because the car shifted out of gear and I had to veer to the right in keep from causing a chain rear end bumper accident. Now well over $2,300.00 is needed to repair my car, and that doesn`t even include the ignition switch because I would have to go to a GM dealer who would fit a new key to complete the repair. I haven`t even owned this car for 3 years, and I`ve put about $1,500.00 in repairs into it.
