GM India Trying To Gain Traction With “Chevrolet Blockbuster” Offers

General Motors India is trying to expand its market share in the country with new “Chevrolet Blockbuster” offers, granting new Chevrolet buyers discounts and bonuses ranging from 55,000 to 85,500 Rupees (about $900 to $1,400 US).

No, the offers have nothing to do with the eponymous Blockbuster chain of video rental stores. But they do apply to Chevrolet’s entire lineup in the country (save for the Captiva), and include cash and corporate discounts, exchange bonuses, and loyalty bonuses.

The 7- or 8-seat Chevrolet Enjoy MPV enjoys (see what we did there?) the maximum discount. The Chevrolet Sail sedan/hatchback, and the Tavera compact MPV, offer the smaller, 55,000 Rupee Blockbuster deals. Everything else in the Chevrolet India lineup falls between those.

The Chevrolet Blockbuster offers are only available through December, 2014, but GM India is offering other Chevrolet perks not set to expire any time soon. These include the industry-first Chevrolet Promise, free for the first three years of ownership, which grants owners 24/7 roadside assistance, guaranteed low-cost maintenance, special warranties, and special customer-centered apps.

Chevrolet is banking on the hope that by making the purchasing process as satisfactory as possible in India, they might expand their wealth of new and return customers.
