German folks are just like we Americans; we work hard, build great cars, and enjoy each other’s automotive engineering.
From the national population that undoubtedly crafts the vast majority of the world’s most sophisticated and refined cars, it’s quite a compliment to have Germany’s stamp of approval on America’s pony car sweetheart, the Chevy Camaro. But the video below – originally found on Camaro News – shows the fervor of ze Germans’ fandom in the form of legions of Camaro devotees at a festival known as Forumtreffen Hohenroda (“Forum Meeting Hohenroda” – Hohenroda being the name of a city).
There isn’t much in the way of speech in the video, but that’s all fine and well; no one in it is speaking English. What the video does contain is a number of sharp, stylized, customized fifth-generation Camaros. The 2012 Transformers 3 Camaro even makes a cameo (though it fails to turn into anything). You also get to hear a flock of beefy Chevy V8s roaring, tearing sonic holes in the atmosphere with their big-bore growl.
It’s been said aplenty that there’s really nothing quite so American as apple pie. But just because it’s quintessentially American doesn’t mean the rest of the world can say no to a slice.

Here in Spain, there is also a great passion for American cars, but bad that sell very few and very high prices. That makes it very difficult for young enthusiasts can buy a car from them
And people here have obsession with Diesel engine, and there is still much popular thinking they say: “The American car is a bad product and takes you into bankruptcy.”
In Spain, or you buy a German car like diesel, or otherwise; They make you believe you’re wasting money.
And if it’s an American car, goes directly to them they panic and call you crazy, I have lived, and it is very sad.
Yet with all this, if there are guys who have good American cars in Spain, I think there is more or less 10-15 Camaros 2008-2013.
It only takes the example of the Corvette Z51: here asking for 79,900 Euro (about $ 98,000) near double what it costs in USA
It seems that Americans do not want to sell cars here.
Spain has a social disease; German car that is diesel; do not want to choose something else.
All you go to have a good Christmas Day
Regards from Spain friends
Hey Jonathan, come over to the USA and enjoy big cars with big V8s. Spain is great for vacation, but for everyday life, you can’t beat California!
