Four Caddys, Sittin’ Pretty: Wordless Wednesday

We’re not sure of the origins of this photo or where it was taken, but one thing is for sure: whenever we see four Cadillacs in a row, it makes us feel all warm and fuzzy. Especially on New Year’s Eve. And we find it interesting to see the progression of design language from the older models on the right to the new Art & Science-era models on the left.

Extra street cred to anyone who can correctly identify the year and model of the Caddys pictured above. If you think you know all four, just scroll on down to the comments section and let us know.

Hat tip to Mike W. for sending in the photo. Have something to share, like a photo or a news item, with the GM Authority team? Simply let us know about it here.

  1. early 60’s DeVille Coupe maybe a 63, blue one im guessing is a late 70’s deville, then the obvious 2009- cts4 and 2015 ats coupe

    1. I’d say the same 🙂 although I think that’s a 2015 ATS Sedan, rather than the coupe. But it’s difficult to tell from this angle.

  2. I think that is a ’15 ATS Sedan, ’08-’13 CTS Sedan (not sure if AWD was available in ’08), ’76-’79 Deville or Fleetwood and late ’60s Deville.

The way that photo looks, it seams that it is in a suburb neighborhood but then again, it may not be. I am looking at that chimney on that building.

  3. Blue: 78 or 79 Sedan de Ville
    Perhaps Fleetwood
    Chrome around tail lights
    I had a 77; unprotected plastic

  4. Gold one is a 1965. Appears to be a Sedan DeVille
    Blue one 1979. Sedan DeVille.
CTS difficult to tell from angle but appears to be 2010 or 2011
ATS pretty much has to be 2015, as it has the new logos

    1. Sorry, upon closer inspection the ’65 looks like a Coupe De Ville not sedan.

  6. Nice to see that the newer Caddys are finally at a styling level where they can hold their own in the presence of traditional “True Cadillacs”.

I greatly prefer the overall swagger of the tan 65 Coupe on the end, but if it were my money – I’d rather own and drive the CTS/ATS all day.

  7. Although framed out of the shot, I much, MUCH prefer the ATS than anything else in the photo.

  8. although the old cadillacs will always be classics, the new ones are just as good.

  9. Anyone note that only one sports the Wreath and Crest.

    1. Good observation. Just goes to show us that the logo is continually evolving as we know, but in a photo as proof to drive it home. I think it is a neat picture also. As for my choice, I’d take the CTS.

  10. The gold Caddy is a 1966 – the rear of the 65 was chromier. A cleaner, more elegant look that probably saved some money, too.
