There’s a million and one uses for a Chevrolet V8 engine, but few are more awesome and festively relevant than Lars Erik Lindberg of Sweden’s ‘SnowMonster’.
Lindberg’s creation is simultaneously the most American and Swedish thing we’ve ever seen. According to Road & Track, It’s powered by a Littlefield supercharged 454 Chevrolet Big Block V8 with two Holley 750 double pumper carburetors, which is good for around 550 to 600 horsepower. The body is actually a 1923 Ford, while the transmission is a General Motors unit and the rear-axle is from a Volvo 240.
We challenge you to find a cooler homemade snowmobile than this. The sound is something you’d expect to hear at an American drag strip, not a rural Swedish backyard, and it looks like Santa decided to trade in his reindeer for a blown V8 and a fancy paintjob.
Have a holly jolly Christmas, from Sweden to you.
