Corvette Blogger has found a winner. A winner for what you ask? Why, their imaginary “WTF Award” of course! This C5 ‘Vette has become an unfortunate cross between “America’s sports car” and “rice burner.”
A Corvette Forum moderator spotted the Corvette in the wild in Washington while walking through a parking lot, and clearly could not resist capturing the moment. Normally, as auto enthusiasts, a certain amount of tolerance comes with the title. But, this looks as if the owner got a gift card for only the accessories aisle of the local AutoZone.
The side markers are our favorite piece, which proclaim the C5 Corvette is a “Sport Edition.” Not even close. The moderator says everything seen here was “stick on” with no functionality to any scoops or side vents. Comments on the post range from “kill it with fire” to “gimme a bottle of goo-gone.” We can’t blame them in all honesty.

Is it wrong to stereotype? Wonder what type of guy would commit this kind of crime… bet his other car is a 92 Civic Hatch 🙂
Unfortunately, this is not the first Vette I’ve seen something like this done to it.
In my old age I decided to nolonger badmouth what people build. Clearly there is passion there. Clearly there is interest there, and the corvette IS a nice car…
