Just like you, we want to see the next-generation 2016 Camaro now. Perhaps it’s time to up our mutual Ritalin intake, because it’s very likely that we’ll simply have to sit still and wait until Chevrolet releases the real thing in 2015. But with Mustang Fever and Hellcat Plague afflicting folks left and right, it only seems natural to want to see what Chevrolet will do to up the ante. So, “Chazcron” from Camaro6 provided this new rendering, which blends much of what we see today in the fifth-generation model with sleeker lines that are expected from the sixth-gen.
It would seem that Chaz (if we may be so bold) fancies himself in 3D design acumen, so he grabbed a little bit of spy shots here, a little bit of graphic design there, and then tied them together to produce the rendering you see now. The end result is rather evolutionary than revolutionary (sorry, 1970-1981 Camaro fans), but it looks like the next-gen Camaro may be its “own man” at this point, rather than a modern interpretation of a 1969 Hugger.

This has been floating around on various sites.
Much of it is right but the tail is just a guess as even the mules have not been using stock tail lamps. The front is close but could vary in detail but the rest is pretty close.
Note the picture does not bear out that this car is shorter, lower and narrower. The wheel bases is about the same as the present car.
Actually the renderings are based off the camo’d car which certainly is shorter. If you check out Camaro6 where the renderings are from it is obvious that the car is shorter than the present car based off the renderings. Car and Driver also believe that the car will have a wheelbase almost identical to the ATS.
If this is it, or even close, I have to assume that GM has hired Porsche designers who have styled the same damn car for 50 years!
for the love of god no.
Looks mean. I like it. Not crazy about any shade of blue other than Navy. Black, Yellow and Black, Bright Red, or Burgundy are my faves on anything sporty.
Looks a bit like the last Monte Carlo. This makes the Dodge Challenger look even more attractive.
I don’t want smaller, lighter, more compact. I want a Camaro that is bad assed in the old sense of the word.
Chevy needs to developed a low cost sport coupe for millennials like the old Fiero while chasing Gen X and Boomers with Camaro.
Here is the deal it is what it is and when it comes out half will love it half will hate it and in 6 months 90% will love it.
This car will be bad ass as it will be physically able to perform things a 4000+ pound car could never do.
Also this is a incomplete drawing and like commenting on mules let them finish the car before you have any major reactions.
You would think as many times as we have been through stuff like this people would learn to wait before getting cranky.
As of a lower cost coupe it is going t be a Camaro Ecotec Turbo. The plan into doing a smaller coupe failed as the other coupes on the market have had sluggish sales at best and a business plan could not be made to build an entire new platform for a model that would only sell 50,000 cars at best. They tried but there was not enough volume to keep it cheap. Reality sucks sometimes.
In the end you will get a Camaro that will be faster, better handling, able to stop shorter than any Camaro ever or even any car in class. It will have the highest level of refinement in class and will offer enough MPG to help it live into the future with out a bunch of goofy add on hybrid things.
I wish the styling was less retro but I too understand the challenge of making a large group of people happy that often have little acceptance of new ideas or the preconceived notions of what they feel something has to look like. This car will not be ugly and will look fine in sheet metal. They are moving this a little more away from retro and will continue with time.
So in shot you are going to have the best damn car in class and the best Camaro ever made so let them finish it before you belly ache over something you have not see or even drive, Give them a chance on something you have little clue about before you get all worked up.
We have seen many the same people do this in the past most recently on the C7 and the Mustang. Many get worked up and after intro you guys are no where to be found other than a few hold outs that at least mean what they said.
I do not like; lacks much personality

Like it says up above ,this is just a rendering of what the 6 generation will look like . I believe that there will be more change done to the Camaro, because loss of weight and more power, will not effect the hot sale’s of the Mustang. the Camaro will needs to loss some of the looks of the 5th generation and be more refined in order to say hey i am a new Camaro.
