As far as appearances go, there were few surprises with the 2016 Cadillac CTS-V, as it’s predictably adopted all the design cues from the previously unveiled ATS-V. This isn’t at all a bad thing, because when we asked if the ATS-V was Hot or Not, an overwhelming 87.9% if you agreed that yes, it’s quite the looker.
Now it’s time to ask the same question in regards to the mid-size CTS-V. The first thing we noticed on the CTS-V was its gaping front grille, even larger and more aggressive than the ATS-V’s. Sitting just below it is an optional carbon fiber front splitter, which is part of an aerodynamics package that also includes a carbon fiber rear spoiler, a carbon fiber rear diffuser and a carbon fiber hood vent.
Looking down the side of the car you’ll notice a rocker panel skirt and a side vent, which is also available in carbon fiber. We’d like to see the window bordering and other chrome accents offered in a black or body color finishes, however Cadillac has yet to make mention of such an option. Out back, a prominent rear diffuser houses four exhaust tips and a reverse light.
So, is the 2016 CTS-V Hot or Not? We think the CTS has adopted the high performance makeover even better than the ATS has and can hardly wait to get acquainted with it on the floor of the North American International Auto Show on January 12. Vote below and let us know what you’d change on the car, if anything, in the comments.

It’s gonna be a real winner, especially if GM prices it right. Lately GM/Cadillac’s pricing has been a bit too confident!
If the car starts out at $85K-$90K, you still think GM is a bit too confident also? You need to realize that Cadillac is putting way more content and engineering in their cars, so the price has to match the hard work, a lot of content and materials Cadillac put in this car and etc.
By my estimates, this is easily a $90,000+ car, right where it ought to be in the mid-size luxury sports sedan segment.
How else would GM present Cadillac? As something for people with low confidence? GM’s confidence is in offering only the best car in the segment, as they should and as we should expect from Cadillac.
Handily, the CTS-V outstrips its German counterparts, and its out-doing anything GM has ever done before. So why couldn’t GM ask $90K for the CTS-V if BMW or Mercedes has no problem offering and selling cars in this segment at that price?
No doubt about it! Cadillac hits another homerun in the looks department!!! Tame, yet exuding sexiness with a taste of aggressiveness!
I like it, but I prefer the front on the standard car better. However, It’s still my favorite in the segment.
Some say that the prices are for 80K base price

This car will take the market much like the ZO6 has and open many eyes. The cool thing is this is not where Cadillac is going this is only where they are at now. The future will only improve the beast.
Where’s The Poll??? 😉

The 2016 CTS-V IS WAY HOT , Lets hope the move for Cadillac to NYC will help with the fact of way to many RECALLS of GM Products. How about some Wilwood Brakes instead of Brembo ? Be an Industry first ??
If the 2016 CTS – V Was $50- 70,000 Great, I could afford, But much higher it will still be the select few who will be able to afford the car Then with Prick Dealers raising car prices with a Premium. Then a year or two later with recalls ?
Black out the chrome around the windows, the door handles, and the chrome on the trunk like the Generation I – THEN it will be hot! Glad to see that they go rid of the silly chrome louvers on the front fenders. That and get rid of those gawd awful two tone interiors!
