2015 Opel Karl: This Is It?

Opel has been busy prepping the Karl for a 2015 introduction, but photos of what it actually looks like have yet to be released . . . that is, unless these pictures are actually of the Karl. While not officially unveiled by Opel, it seems that these official-looking photos may have been accidentally leaked by Auto Motor und Sport.

World Car Fans says that it’s likely the pics are “a very accurate” rendering of the production vehicle since it is similar to spy shots that have been captured over the past few months, including the “short front and rear overhands, prominent side creases along with big headlights [and] fog lights.”

When the 2015 Opel Karl debuts, it will also be sold in the United Kingdom as the Vauxhall Viva, a nod to a popular model from the 1960-70s. They will be priced below the Opel/Vauxhall Adam.

  2. Yes, this is it, this is Karl.

The publication by “Auto, Motor and Sport” was in disregard of the embargo ending on December 3, zero hours Central European Time. The article itself was dated as December 3. So one can assume some accident. This accident, though, did of course also raise expectations looking forward to the official publication today, December 3.

  3. I was hoping to be exciting but these are still very much a mess of images. But we know that GM itself but makes me regret anyway. If the car is purchased then it does not matter at all, however, this attitude does not improve the image of GM, although no. No mess to do in order to sell it is still very sad.
I’m very jealous of the VAG group are the activities. Unfortunately, I’m a lover of OPEL

  5. When did GM OPEL, and joined and why. This cooperation does not work at all. GM is an American cars and understanding, and the European Opel. and they are two different countries can not understand each other and understand. Perceptions of cars are totally different, as well as vision. Some things are those which are not established or agreed to cooperate. Europe and America do not know what these cars are all GM products, and have never seen such machines before, not to mention the various nations. So do not cooperate with each other, even if not recognized. And certainly it is not known how the work is done, for example, VAG konsernis. Yes, I also have seen here only numbers that VAG is successful, however, it is hardly known how America operates more canned VAG goes. KARL car that GM will fall even more. GM Opel shots go bankrupt and distributed. This is not a mess. someone needed.
How did GM OPEL, and joined in and when. Why GM OPEL, and joined. what were their plans. I’m beginning to explore the deeper things out of this forum may be the last year, and it may be that I can see it very closely, it gives me the impression of a very ugly.
Opel, and GM has not been created. First of all, they already are so far apart, and the cultures of the world, and the car is totally different. Europeans and ameerikalsed not understand each other’s car culture. Some people do not understand why some of these cars are flying and others can not understand the other that which is driven in such. For cars used in very different ways. I know that America is one thing to know is that the distances are very long

    1. Opel must share with Chevy of it hopes to survive. Scale helps to negate over capacity.
Ford has no problem sharing, creating global product, and they hold a larger European share.
If there was any mistake made, it was not linking the GM value brand’s with a single ONE lineup: Chevy, Opel, Vauxhall and Holden. With Corsa, Astra, and now Spark/Karl, Chevy would finally be in a position to best Ford in the US car market. I, personally, think Holden becoming an experiment in such alignment
As an upmarket product mainly focused on N America and China, Buick was in a far better position to go it alone as the brand had done historically.

  9. I am an expert on Opel, my family has had Opel since 1952 and I write on a history of Opel, I have researched on the topic Opel.

With regard to all factors… PSA, GM, Low Price, Competition, Need to quickly get a model on the market and the desire that it shall be a car that holds so much Opel character and workmanship as possible – this is a very impressive result.

The design is splendid, the feeling of quality, class and style is superior to all other cars in the class.

UP VW, Toyota Yaris, Kia Picanto is ugly useless crap, neither more nor less, childish diapers for nerds.
