2015 Cadillac Escalade Takes On 2015 Lincoln Navigator: Video

The 2015 Cadillac Escalade is the widely accepted king of the American luxury SUV models these days, and it sometimes can be easy to forget some of its competitors, such as the 2015 Lincoln Navigator. Arriving during the second half of the 1990’s, the Navigator’s big size as well as its premium content earned it a certain degree of popularity among SUV buyers, before the second-generation Escalade pulled the rug from underneath its sales pillar a few years later. And it’s stayed that way ever since.

Fast-forward to the present, and the Escalade and Navigator are both either all-new or highly refreshed for the 2015 model year. Eager to find out which one was the best, AutoGuide compared the two to see once and for all which one was indeed the “apex predator.”

When the dust settled, the end result was a surprise to no one, with the Escalade sweeping the Navigator in nearly every category. AutoGuide revealed that the 2015 Escalade’s victory was thanks in part to its extensive suite of interior and exterior updates as well as its V8 muscle which helped the 2015 Escalade “feel more special and modern.”

This is in stark contrast to the 2015 Navigator, which still looked dated to AutoGuide’s reviewers. despite the SUV receiving a refresh of its own earlier this year. The 2015 Navigator was also dinged for some of its questionable design themes, hard plastics, and over-sized steering wheel. The Cadillac did lose a few points due to its high pricing ladder, but that was not enough to blunt its otherwise dominant showing in this particular comparison test.

spoils the beauty of it. a large iron bar in the middle of the dashboard cross. Cadillac would have been a better way to solve selel though. A small button somewhere. see and think about where that ugly iron lever on the dashboard there is not perpendicular to the place where it would be a clear dashboard.

To me the Navigater appears to have a dropping front face , while the Escalade front looks like a smile !
