2015 Cadillac CTS Receives Five-Star Overall Safety Rating From NHTSA

The 2015 Cadillac CTS sedan has earned the highest possible five star overall safety rating from the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration, Edmunds reports. The 2015 model year CTS remains mostly unchanged from the 2014 model year vehicle, however it boasts a new front fascia with Cadillac’s new wreathless emblem and some additional options and amenities.

The CTS earned five stars in the NHTSA’s front crash test, side crash test and rollover crash test. The test results apply to both rear- and all-wheel drive CTS models. This places it on par with the Audi A6 and BMW 5-series, which also earned perfect scores in NHTSA testing.

The 2015 CTS also has some additional safety features when compared to the outgoing 2014 model, such as Lane Change Alert with longer range sensing capabilities and Lane Keep Assist, both of which are part of the optional Driver Awareness package. The car also has 10 airbags as standard, as well as the expected traction control and anti-lock brake systems.
