While Cadillac has evolved from its “Standard of the World” reputation over the past 15+ years, out in the Middle East, the equity from Cadillac’s past carries over to today’s Cadillac. With the introduction of the 2015 ATS Coupe this month in the Middle East, Cadillac continues the grand tradition of dynamic luxury − all for AED 199,000 (just over $54,000).
Just like the ATS Coupe that we’re familiar with in North America, the 2015 ATS Coupe rides on the same wheelbase (277.6 cm for the metrically inclined) as the sedan, but with unique bodywork − the roof, doors, rear fenders, and trunk lid are distinct to the Coupe, plus a front fascia and front fenders that accommodate a wider track than the sedan’s.
In recent years Cadillac has developed signature bold lighting elements that make the brand instantly recognizable; the ATS Coupe continues and advances that tradition with available light-emitting diode (LED) headlamps with Adaptive Forward Lighting − projector-beam headlamps with high-intensity-discharge headlamps with front vertical LED light signatures. Illuminated outside door handles on ATS Performance and Premium Collections give lend distinction and function to the stylish Coupe. Out back you’ll find LED taillamps and center brake lamp.
The ATS Coupe, like the Sedan, features handcrafted cut-and-sewn upholstered interior combinations, decorative stitching, and authentic materials befitting of a Cadillac − driver and passengers will be surrounded by leather, aluminum, carbon fiber, and wood.
A Bose premium audio system with Active Noise Cancelation technology is standard on all ATS models; electronic sound enhancement is included on models equipped with the optional premium surround sound audio system. A 12-speaker surround sound upgrade is included with Performance and Premium collections and includes Bose Audio Pilot (which continuously monitors ambient sounds and adjusts the music volume and program content to make the most of the listening experience). Lastly, the Bose audio system also enhances the engine’s exhaust note, pumping its note through the speakers and into the cabin.
