2,000 Horsepower Camaro Proves Too Fast For Street Car Takeover Nashville: Video

The only problem with building an absurdly fast machine to run the eighth-mile in is you may be faster than anyone who’s willing to race you. That’s the issue the owner of this Camaro Z/28 had when he showed up at Street Car Takeover Nashville to makes some passes, but we doubt he’s complaining.

According to 1320 Video on YouTube, this Camaro has a 509 cu. In. Chevrolet Big Block V8 with twin 88mm turbochargers. On 29 psi of boost, which results in around 2,000 horsepower at the flywheel, the car ran a 4.70 in the eighth mile, its best ever pass.

Not only was this the fastest car at Street Car Takeover, it’s probably one of the most menacing looking. The flat black paint lends itself well to the first-gen Z/28, and the huge turbos peeking through the grille let onlookers know this car has the muscle to back up its mean looks.

Watch this Z/28 hand it to all of Nashville’s Street Car Takeover in the video below.
