Tony Stewart made his NASCAR debut in 1999 after experiencing moderate success in the Busch Series and earning the USAC Triple Crown. He managed to win three races and finished fourth in the championship, enough to win the Rookie of the Year award. It was a historic first season in the NASCAR world, and now you have the chance to own the car which made it all happen.
Tony Stewart’s Home Depot-sponsored No. 20 Joe Gibbs Pontiac Grand Prix has popped up for sale on eBay for $45,000. The car is the real deal, and even comes with a certificate of authenticity signed by Robbie Etters of Joe Gibbs Racing. The dash was also signed by Smoke himself following his acceptance of the Rookie of the Year award in 1999.
Any NASCAR or Tony Stewart fan would love to have Smoke’s extremely successful rookie season car sitting in their garage, and at $45,000, this doesn’t seem like a bad buy. The car runs fine and is currently set up for the road course, according to the listing. If we had $45,000 laying around, we’d consider scooping this up for a track day toy. After all, what’s cooler (and louder) than a retired stock car for just over $40K? Check out the listing here.
