Last night folks at the annual convention of the Specialty Equipment Market Association (aka SEMA) were able to witness the unveiling of the 2015 edition of the COPO Camaro. Like in previous years, Chevrolet‘s COPO program gives 69 people the opportunity to kick arse in NHRA competition. Available with a number of small-block motors − both naturally aspirated and with superchargers − and a three-speed automatic or four-speed manual, COPO Camaros have been making a name for themselves in the racing circuit.
Not only is this the fourth iteration of the current COPO program, but it’s the last one for the fifth-generation Camaro. Best of all, the whole package is available by specifying one part number from the Chevrolet Performance catalog: #20159562. Generally you have to have a drag racing license to even be considered, so if this sounds like you, you should go to Chevrolet.com/Performance and sign up for the mailing list. Don’t have that drag license or the means to buy a dedicated drag racer? Nothing says you can’t sign up anyway, right? For now, enjoy the video of the debut.
