Have you ever looked at a first-generation Dodge Neon and thought “you know what that could use? A big old carbureted V8.” We haven’t either, but that’s apparently what went through the mind of one Columbus Craigslist user before he dropped a Chevrolet 350 small block  in the front of his Emerald Green 1997 Neon.
At one point in time, this Chevy/Mopar mashup actually ran, until the 350 V8 broke a rocker arm. It’s got some nice upgrades, including a Holly carb, a “big cam” and an Edelbrock intake, but you’ll have to make some repairs to get it back up and running. There’s also a 9-inch rear end, an automatic transmission and Weld drag racing wheels with some over sized Goodyear slicks.
We’re not sure if anyone will buy this for $4,000 considering it doesn’t even run, but if you wanted to be fast at the drag strip, this is one relatively cheap way to do it. We’d suggest bolting in a roll cage first, though. Check out the listing here for additional photos and information.
