We’ve already showed you one retired race car for sale on eBay today, but we thought we’d offer up another for those that don’t like turning left or right. Tony Stewart’s Pontiac Grand Prix stock car from his rookie season is a steal at $45,000, but would you prefer this NHRA Pontiac Trans-Am dragster for the same price?
According to the listing, this fiberglass bodied tube-frame Trans-Am dragster runs in the Super Gas and Super Comp NHRA classes. It has a 565 cu. in. Big Chief big block Chevrolet engine hooked up to a JW transmission, both of which were recently installed and have less than 16 passes on them. The owner ran the car at events in NHRA’s Southeast division and a “few times” at the US Nationals and says it “has not been run to death.”
If you want the car, you’ll need a trailer to tow it around in. The seller will include his in the sale for an extra $10,000, you’ll just have to drive down to Kissimmee, FL. to pick it up. So which will it be, Smoke’s successful rookie season racer, or this recently rebuilt NHRA dragster? Check out the listing here.
