Ricky Carmichael Jumps His Concept Chevy Colorado, SEMA 2014 – Video

At the SEMA 2014 pre-show at Spring Mountain, motocross legend Ricky Carmichael introduced the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado Performance concept in a unique way, jumping the midsize pickup on a dirt bike.

Yeah, it’s pretty cool. And now you can see the stunt for yourself on video.

The 2015 Colorado Performance concept wears the motocross rider’s signature proudly on the dashboard; he was part of the team responsible for bringing the truck to life. It’s a logical marriage, as the 2015 Colorado’s pitch is intended for a younger, sportier crowd who might seek a truck as a lifestyle vehicle, not necessarily as a work machine.

That is, of course, reflected in this concept truck’s modifications, which include a tailgate extender to better accommodate the motocross champion’s bikes, and a production GearOn cargo management system.

Our estimation is that launching over the 2015 Colorado Performance concept is Ricky’s way of saying, in so many words, “I approve.” More than that, it’s just darn good, nail-biting entertainment.
