Much Supercharged Corvette C6 Z06, Such Wow: Video

Today’s edition of “ridiculously large intakes on blown drag cars” features this: a Chevrolet Corvette C6 Z06, with an intake from Holley.

The tuned Engine Management Unit is also from Holley, and it boasts a custom Powerglide transmission fortified and rebuilt by RPM Transmissions, specifically for racing applications.

But the real pièce de résistance is the supercharger; it’s a Procharger F1C racing unit which is capable of up to 38 psi of boost. Add to that custom All Pro cylinder heads, and the car roars down the quarter-mile in a scant 8.20 seconds in its best run, hitting 167.63 mph.

What’s equally amazing is the lack of perceivable wheelspin in normal conditions. The car has some difficulty hooking up with the pavement in its first run, but the dragstrip is visibly damp. Run in dryer conditions, it blasts away from a dead stop without so much as a whiff of a squeal.

This is likely one of the best Corvette C6 builds we have ever come across. Judge it for yourself in the video below:
