Presumably, we’re all up to speed on the #ChevyGuy describing the “Technology and Stuff” in the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado during the Major League Baseball MVP ceremony, when he presents the keys to Giants pitcher Madison Bumgarner.
For those unacquainted, you can watch the clip below.
Motor Trend recently interviewed President of General Motors North America Mark Reuss to get his thoughts on the runaway internet joke revolving around Chevrolet Regional Manager Rikk Wilde – a.k.a. #ChevyGuy – choking on national television during his delivery.
“I felt bad for him when I saw it. I really did. I know him personally, and he’s a great guy. You want to reach into the TV and help him. Right?” We did want to, Mr. Reuss; we really did.
He went on to tell Motor Trend: “How this got up and got legs and got viral, I really don’t understand the dynamics of that… Public speaking is hard. It’s hard. It’s the World Series. You’re giving it to… one of the greatest pitchers of all time, right? He’s standing there. You’ve got the commissioner of baseball standing there… And they’re waiting for you to be done with it.”
“That’s the other thing — they want to move on. So it’s not an easy thing to do. So good for him. I just hope he doesn’t feel bad.”
