As capable and powerful as the Silverado Reaper 1500 is — an off-road ready super truck done up by Lingenfelter Performance Engineering and Southern Comfort Automotive — its mean mug looks are probably scaring off a few customers. But as has always been an advantage for GM’s truck lineup, a handsome GMC truck provides another option. However, there was no GMC Sierra 1500 equivalent of the Reaper. Until now, with the Sierra G2 1500.
Like the Reaper, The Sierra G2 incorporates a custom grill assembly, high-clearance bumper with reinforced skid plate, wide-body fender flares and a wheel-to-wheel rock guard with removable side steps. Unlike the Reaper, there’s a winch integrated into the bumper. And unlike the Reaper, the Sierra G2 isn’t ugly.
