Corsa Performance Reveals New Axle-Back Exhaust For Cadillac CTS Vsport: Video

The team over at Corsa Performance has a new dual exhaust for the 2014 Cadillac CTS Vsport, which is equipped with the twin-turbocharged LF3 V6 engine. It reduces drone, adds an aggressive sound while improving air flow. What’s not to like about that?

For the new 2.5-inch axle-back sport exhaust, Corsa Performance says they have increased airflow by 20 percent while reducing the weight by 5 lbs. It retains the dual rear exit layout of the Cadillac CTS Vsport.

Corsa Performance’s new exhaust, part number 14325, relies on their Relective Sound Cancellation (RSC) technology to reduce the drone found in common exhaust systems. In fact, the RSC technology is what Corsa Performance has been known for since 1998. This system works by “eliminating resonant frequencies that cause drone by reflecting sound waves out of the exhaust phase,” according to Corsa Performance.

A more aggressive sound without drone sounds like music to our ears. Pricing starts at $800. Check out the video below for a sample on how it sounds.

  1. Never liked the motorboat sound that Corsa systems emit on V8 powered vehicles. They don’t have that nice deep rumble like Borla has. I would keep the stock exhaust over going to the Corsa system or wait until Borla makes one. On a V6 powered vehicle, exhaust companies need to tune the tone to compensate for the lack of two cylinders. They basically need to tune the tone to make the V6 sound like a V8 in order to have a hit on their hands. I don’t like the way the Corsa sounds on the CTS V-Sport. Just doesn’t sound good at all!

  2. When cars in an elite class like Cadillac make aftermarket sounds like this, its no longer luxury imo especially from a bread a butter model like the CTS V-Sport.

    1. So you don’t own one right?

  3. If anything the stock exhaust is already too loud. I just don’t understand people who pay good money to have their cars make more noise. I’ll pay to have an exhaust that makes less noise if anyone makes one.

    1. Really… buy a Prius or you already have one don’t you?

      1. Actually, the Prius is a very noisy car. Not so much the exhaust but the fact that the car has essentially ZERO noise insulation. You hear the tires, the wind noise, the creaking of the chassis as the car ride rather harshly down the freeway.

My ideal car will make 100 hp per ~500 lbs, handle like the CTS VSport (which is about perfect once you get rid of the P Zero Nero run flats and put on Pilot Sport SS tires) and make no more noise than a Lexus LS. I don’t want to hear any exhaust or engine noise, gaggle, roar, groan, purr or whatever as 60 mph flash by in less than 3 secs and I can hear the tick from my watch as it is happening.
