Update: the big announcement was the Chevy Colorado ZR2 Concept.
The Los Angeles Auto Show takes pace this week, and as Chevrolet shared on Twitter, the marque has a big announcement to make tomorrow.
The image attached to the Tweet features a pickup truck which, while obscured by dirt and rocks, is pretty clearly recognizable as the 2015 Chevrolet Colorado. The choice to picture the truck and obscure it in such a way screams “off-road variant.” Well, plus the tweet comes out and tells us that it’s off-road related.
Off roading will never be the same after tomorrow. Stay tuned to the @LAAutoShow to see why. pic.twitter.com/fctp8KRjbV

Could this be a lighter, Ford Raptor-fighting Colorado variant like the one we forecast back in July of this year? Will it revive the popular ZR2 badge from the mid-nineties to early naughts?
We can’t say. But tune in tomorrow and through the close of the 2014 Los Angeles Auto Show for up-to-date information.

I hope it’s a extended cab !
It would be nice to see them do a few special packages that don’t have to be the crew cab.
When will we hear about the showing of this truck at the auto show?
