Chevrolet is showcasing the towing capacity of the 2015 Colorado in style with a combination of color-matched truck, trailer and Nautique boat combination. Talk about going to the lake in style!
The Colorado Lifestyle Concept debuted today at the 2014 SEMA show and uses a custom orange metallic flake paint scheme on the crew cab truck matching the color of the Air Nautique 210 boat and its trailer. Contrasting the bright paint are black 18-inch Chevrolet accessory wheels that are also worn by the trailer.
“You can’t own a lifestyle product like the Super Air Nautique without the assurance of a strong, confidence-inspiring truck to haul it to your favorite lake,” said John Fitzpatrick, senior marketing manager, Chevrolet trucks. “The Colorado rewrites the book for midsize trucks, delivering  unprecedented performance and capability for people who need the versatility of a truck in a smaller package than a full-size pickup.”
With a 7,000-pound maximum trailering rating, the Colorado will easily pull the 4,200 pounds of the 21-foot boat with plenty capacity remaining for other cargo. Speaking of cargo, tying it down is easier with the Colorado thanks to the new GearOn accessory system.
This maximum trailering rating is based on trucks equipped with the 3.6L V6 LFX engine rated at 305 horsepower and 269 pound-feet of torque. It also is EPA-estimated at 26 MPG for the 2WD model.
