Chevrolet’s big announcement at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show came yesterday in the way of the 2015 Colorado ZR2 Concept. The rugged off roader features many things which Chevrolet truck fans have been asking for, including off-road suspension ready to take on Ford’s F150 Raptor and a smaller diesel engine offering.
If the ZR2 ever makes it to production, it will be a welcome addition to Chevrolet’s 20-year old ZR2 line of off-road trucks and SUVs. It features everything your average outdoorsman might need for exploring, including King Off-Road Racing Shocks, higher ground clearance, a more rugged front end with flip-out aluminium tow hooks, an electronic front and rear locking differential and 18-inch wheels shod in off-road tires.
The ZR2 concept also benefits visually from tasteful Cyprus Green paint, which is complimented by Henna Orange accents on the wheels, tow hooks and more. The widened fender flares also add to its overall presence, and will ensure you don’t mistake it for a Z71 Colorado on the road.
You’ve seen the pictures, you know the details, so all that’s left to do is vote below. Is the 2015 Colorado ZR2 Concept Hot, or Not?

I said a few days ago, off road truck du jour. It’s getting boring already.
Build it. They will come
Need to build something. What is out there sucks. The extended cab only comes with 4 cyl.. WOW that is hot… NOT. The rear seat in the crew cab is useless if you try to make cargo area out of it. I waited 2 years and could not be more disappointed!!
build it with a 2-door cab and manual transmission, GM!
I would hate to be an Engineer for GM. They design things like the Revolutionary 4.5 Duramax, only to watch Dodge take the Crown for 1/2 ton MPG on diesel trucks, 7 years after the 4.5 could have been in production. Now they design the Colorado ZR2 but in will never go in to production. You may ask how I know. Because once they design something that I would buy, they never produce it. I know GM as the company that cries WOLF. What a TEASER.
Build It! I am a buyer. I want the Trail Boss ZR2: 2.8 L, 200+ hp, 440 lbs torque, 6 spd manual transmission, Bose Stereo, leather seats, a winch’ 18 inch wheels and 4X4, of course.
I took an early retirement and my new life in the Philippines Demands the Trail Boss as I described.
The only way I can improve on this euphoric garden of eden. Keep me Rollin, Rollin, Rollin.
With All Priority, Please.
Thank You,
