Last week at the 2014 SEMA Show, Chevrolet introduced a new Commemorative Edition Camaro. If you’re a Camaro fan, this should be no surprise as Chevrolet has produced numerous special-edition Camaros over the past few years. With more than 400,000 Camaros being sold since April 2009, this is a fine way to close out the current generation Camaro.
Available for both 2LT and 2SS models in both hardtop and convertible bodystyles, the Commemorative Edition Camaro adds unique 20-inch wheels, a body-color front splitter, a ZL1 rear spoiler, a new stripe that wraps around the nose and looks almost like a backwards Baldwin-Motion stripe, and obligatory Commemorative Edition emblems. Inside you’ll find Adrenaline Red and black leather upholstery complete with red stitching and other accents. Did we mention it comes with the RS package too?
“The fifth-generation Camaro was a success from the moment it was introduced, in attracting both long-time Camaro fans and new buyers who have never owned a Chevrolet,” says Camaro Marketing Manager Todd Christensen. “We wanted to create a special edition Camaro that celebrates that success as the fifth generation comes to a close as the end of the model year.”
Five exterior color combinations are available: Black with Cyber Gray stripe, Silver Ice Metallic with Cyber Gray stripe, Summit White with silver stripe, Ashen Gray Metallic with silver stripe, and Red Hot with black stripe. SS models will also receive a body-color hood insert.
