This Corvette C3 Body Listing Is A Bit… Funny: eBay Find

We found this eBay listing recently for a complete 1968 Corvette C3 Stingray funny car dragster body, and we can’t stop laughing.

A funny car – for those not in-the-know – is a type of drag racing car which has a very lightweight fiberglass or carbon fiber body, which hinges on the fabricated chassis so that it can be tilted up for easier access to every mechanical component. Typically, as-is the case with this Chevrolet Corvette C3 look-alike, the body will approximate the appearance of an actual road car.

This Corvette C3 funny car body is listed at only $1,000, but of course, would leave you to find or fabricate a working chassis to pin it to. Beyond that… the listing gives us absolutely no information. We don’t know who fabricated the body, when, or how much use it has seen.

What we do know from the photographs is that it’s a properly good approximation of the appearance of a third-generation Corvette. That, and the seller may be a bit of a mute.
