The Mecum Classic Car Auction is coming soon to Anaheim, California, from November 13th through the 15th.
In fact, you may recall a show-stopper 1958 Chevrolet Impala that we introduced you to recently.
Well, here’s another highly desirable, classic car from the Chevrolet marque: a 1967 Corvette 427 coupe. You may recall 1967 as the year the C3 was supposed to launch and didn’t, resulting in the final – and according to most, best – year of the second-generation car.
This particular example has achieved an NCRS Top Flight Award three different years: in 1987, and more recently in 2005 and 2006. The Top Flight is an award given by the National Corvette Restorers Society (NCRS) since 1974 to only the most pristinely well-preserved and well-restored cars.
So, yeah, this example is pretty original.
The car is a very handsome Goodwood Green with green interior, and is thought to have accumulated a meager 38,285 miles through its entire lifespan. It has a 4-speed trans and the L71 427 cubic-inch big-block. Not quite as ballistic at 435 HP as the barely-street-legal L88 427 big-block, but it will still propel you from a stop well enough.
The Mecum Auction in Anaheim will be broadcast live this November on the NBC Sports Network.
