Magnuson Supercharged 6.2-Liter Silverado Makes 570 HP: Video

Earlier this year we showed you Magnuson’s new supercharger kit for 5.3-liter versions of General Motors’ new full-size Chevrolet Silverado and GMC Sierra 1500 pickup trucks. That system bumped output to 416 horsepower and 430 lb-ft of torque, which is impressive, but still less power than the naturally aspirated L86 6.2-liter engine produces.

If you yearn for even more power, Magnuson has officially unveiled their supercharger kit for 6.2-liter Silverados and Sierras. In a video demonstrating the product, they strap a 6.2-liter 2014 Silverado equipped with their supercharger kit to the dyno, which produces an extra 110 horsepower at the rear wheels while running on only 5 psi of boost.

Magnuson found the 6.2-liter produced 378 horsepower at the wheels from stock, which is bumped to 488 horsepower with the supercharger. According to LSXTV, that’s more than 570 horsepower at the crank, and Magnuson promises it will be reliable.

If a pickup truck with nearly as much power as a Camaro ZL1 sounds right for you, check out the video below and head over the Magnuson’s website to learn more.
